Working as a wedding photographer in Hawaii is amazing. The scenery is truly breath-taking, and I feel honored to be in the presence of Love with my camera. Primarily I do wedding photography on Kauai and Maui, but since the flights between islands are short and inexpensive, I can photograph your destination wedding on Oahu, the Big Island, or wherever you're planning to exchange vows, kisses, and rings. At your wedding, I can take pictures in either a "photo-journalistic" style while unobtrusively capturing candid expressions, or I can easily and effectively give direction to help pose the bride, groom, and other important guests. Usually I do some of both. I'll definitely be available for your input, ideas, and questions long before the ceremony. (Even for non-photography related stuff -- if I can recommend you a minister, restaurant, hairdresser, or any local info to make your special day more smooth and exceptional, I'm happy to do so). I take great care of the people who hire me. I realize this is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and I arrive prepared to do the best possible job for you. I scout wedding locations in advance for lighting and shot ideas. I carry four different types of lenses in my camera bag (over $12,000 worth of equipment) to give you the widest range of photographic possibilities. I also bring back-up camera equipment -- I've never needed it yet, but on such an important occasion, you better have it just in case. After the wedding, I still have a lot more work to do to make your images look their absolute best. I freely include any necessary post-editing on the pictures, such as basic color adjustments, retouching, cropping, and sharpening (this process typically takes about a week as I carefully examine the hundreds of pictures I've taken), and then I will give you a CD with all the high-resolution images on it. I also freely provide the service of posting all your pictures in an online gallery so you may easily view and share them with friends and family. Your online gallery gives everyone a simple way to order high quality prints of your pictures. For your peace of mind, I should also mention that I carry a million dollar liability insurance policy (which some venues and hotels require for wedding photographers), and I have my D.L.N.R. permit for legally photographing beach weddings in Hawaii. (For all other wedding locations, I'm happy to negotiate traveling worldwide).

Private photo-shoots with couples can also be arranged before or after the big day. This is a great way to celebrate, relax, and create fantastic pictures without the flood of emotions that occur during the wedding. In Hawaii, we can have a fun, photographic adventure on a beautiful, private beach, by a secluded waterfall, amidst the reflections of lava-rock tidepools, surrounded by fragrant flowers in a tropical garden, or any location you like that will allow us to take inspiring pictures.
